    In response to the excessive heat warning from the National Weather Service, the Olathe Fire Department’s Office of Emergency Management and the Olathe Public Library announces that the libraries are available as cooling centers during regular business hours to offer temporary relief from the heat.

    The City of Olathe will welcome Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity cyclists July 13 during their Olathe tour stop along the Ability Experience: Journey of Hope cross-country bicycle trek.

    Mayor Michael Copeland, police officers, firefighters, and members of the City’s Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board will greet riders during a public cyclist arrival ceremony at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13 at the Olathe Community Center, 1205 E. Kansas City Road.

    The City of Olathe is proud to present the 16th Annual Free Summer Concert Series. Families and music enthusiasts will enjoy award-winning artists for five Fridays throughout the summer.  Enjoy live music at Frontier Park on June 19, July 10, July 17 and July 24. The series moves to Stagecoach Park on June 26 as part of Celebrate Olathe – Summer Fling.

    Olathe Parks & Recreation will launch Olathe ActiveNet, a new registration system, in early June.  New online system enhancements include the ability to create a wish list, sync activity schedules to your calendar, reserve shelters, and more.
