Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)
The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) presented the City of Olathe with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 31st consecutive year.  This award recognizes the outstanding presentation and standards of the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR)

Government Finance Officers Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) established the Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards Program to encourage and assist state and local governments to prepare budget documents of the very highest quality that reflect both the guidelines established by the National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting and the GFOA’s recommended practices on budgeting and then to recognize individual governments that succeed in achieving that goal.  Through the hard work and dedication of the City of Olathe’s Budget staff, the City submitted the approved 2009 budget and won the award for the fifth time.  Read More

ICMA Center for Performance Measurement "Certificate of Excellence"
The City of Olathe receives the highest honor given to a city government for its efforts in performance measurement and management with the 2009 ICMA CPM Certificate of Excellence.  Olathe is 1 of only 14 cities across the country to receive this honor in 2009.  Read More

ICMA "Community Partnership" Program Excellence Award
The City of Olathe receives the 2009 "Community Partnership" Program Excellence Award for cities over 50,000 in population.  Olathe received this award for its partnership with Kansas State University in the creation of the Kansas Innovation Campus near K-7 and College Blvd.  Read More

Standard & Poor's upgrades Olathe's Water & Sewer bond rating to AA
The Standard and Poor's Rating Agency upgrades the City of Olathe's Water & Sewer bond rating to AA, which is the third highest rating a bond is eligible to receive.  Read More

Water Treatment Facilities receive Gold Peak Performance Award
The City of Olathe's two water treatment facilities receive Gold Peak Performance Awards by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) for their performance in 2008.  Read More
