Ruth Nelson, Olathe Sister Cities Committee Member

Ruth Nelson, Olathe Sister Cities Association Treasurer, has worked for the Olathe School District for 32 years, transitioning from general secretary, to registrar and financial aid director at the Vocational School to manager and assistant director in Community Development over the span of her service to the district. Currently Ms. Nelson is responsible for helping build business partnerships for the benefit of students and teachers, working with international student exchanges, and serving as a liaison to the community on behalf of the district. Community service is an avocation and her work with Sister Cities has been extremely rewarding in helping develop global relationships for Olathe citizens and students.
