Measuring the City's Strategic Performance
The City of Olathe is focused on developing measurable strategies to achieve excellence in efficiency and service delivery in order to provide the citizens of Olathe with the most value for every tax dollar. In order to achieve these goals, the City uses a number of key tools to develop and measure its progress toward strategic targets.
Olathe Organizational Scorecard
Department Business Plans
Departments have developed forward-looking business plans, not only to address current needs, but to lay a foundation for the future. Each plan outlines projected needs and efforts to accommodate Olathe's growing population. Plans are updated each year in the fourth quarter.
DirectionFinder® Citizen Survey
Annual survey of Olathe citizens to assess satisfaction and overall performance. This is a statistically valid survey performed by Olathe’s ETC Institute.
Annual Performance Report
Measures reported are prioritized by the City Council. The report includes key performance indicators across every City department. It is updated and presented to the City Council in April of each year.
