Miscellaneous Inspections

All installations must comply with the appropriate sections of the:

  • 2012 International Residential Code.
  • 2011 National Electrical Code.
  • 2012 International Mechanical Code.
  • 2012 International Plumbing Code.

Electrical Inspections

  • Temporary Electric Service: This inspection is only for temporary power installations that are not permanent such as power for use during construction projects.
  • Underslab Electric: This inspection is only for that part of an electrical installation that is to be buried.
  • Electric Service - New: This inspection is for new electrical service installations where there has not previously been an electrical service. (New services would be metered separately)
  • Electric Service - Change: This inspection is for any change to an existing electrical service.
  • Electric Final: This inspection is for when the work is complete.
  • Electric for Sign: This inspection is only for the power supply to signs.

Mechanical Inspections

  • Underslab Mechanical: This inspection is for mechanical work that will be buried.
  • Rough-in (commercial mechanical): This inspection is for non-residential mechanical installations.
  • Re Rough-in (commercial mechanical): This inspection is after corrections from a failed rough-in inspection have been completed.
  • Commercial Hood: This inspection is for an exhaust hood in a commercial business (kitchen).
  • Repair (mechanical): This inspection is for mechanical equipment repair/replace.
  • Install new mechanical to existing building: This inspection is for new mechanical systems.
  • Mechanical Final: This inspection is when the mechanical installation is complete.

Plumbing Inspections

  • Sewer: This inspection is for the piping outside the building connecting the building drain to the public sewer.
  • Sewer partial: This inspection is for a section of sewer line as described above.
  • Underslab plumbing: This inspection is for plumbing that will be buried under the structure or building.
  • Gas line repair: This inspection is for a gas line that required repair due to maintenance issues.
  • Gas line complete: This inspection is for a gas line installation.
  • Plumbing final: This inspection is for when the plumbing is complete.
