Wheat Harvest 2010

 Kids helping with wheat harvest

Troop 1040

Thank you to Girl Scout Troop #1040 from Spring Hill and Girl Scout Troop #1190 from Olathe who have helped with the garden throughout the summer.

Come help our garden and fields grow! Help water, weed, and as the season goes on, help harvest the bounty! All crops and produce will be used in our 19th Century foodways program. When you explore the cellar of the 1865 Mahaffie home, the person cooking on the cookstove will be using what is grown in the garden and fields. When the food is not being used for those programs, we will be preserving the extra, just like the Mahaffie family would have done! Happy Farming!
