Crews continue 24/7 snow operations and have moved all units into residential areas. Crews are making an initial pass through all residential areas and will return to plow as close to curb-to-curb as possible.
Residents are asked to move vehicles off streets and into driveways when possible. Clearing efforts can be hampered by cars parked along streets because they decrease the width a plow needs to safely maneuver.
Abandoned vehicles can be reported to the non-emergency police number 782-0720.
As with any significant snowfall, residents can expect piled snow, or windrows, in front of driveways. This is unavoidable.
Parents are asked to keep children out of drifts and piles along the roadways. As plows move along streets, it is often difficult to distinguish between a pile and a fort. Please keep children safe and out of the way of active plowing operations.
Trash and recycling collection is delayed. Crews are currently servicing Thursday routes and will do so through Saturday.
