Construction on College Boulevard, as part of the Johnson County Gateway Project, is anticipated to begin the week of June 2. Initial work will include fence relocation, clearing topsoil, grading and work on the north side of College Boulevard. It is anticipated that the additional two lanes of College Boulevard will be completed by late November 2014, weather permitting.
Construction on the 127th Street Improvement project is on schedule and projected to be substantially complete in August 2014, weather permitting. Beginning the week of June 2, 127th Street will be closed from Hallet to Gallery. The street will also remain closed from Gallery to Pflumm.

Residents should expect intermittent lane reductions this week on southbound Black Bob Road, from 119th Street to 151st Street, and eastbound 119th Street, from Black Bob Road to Pflumm Road. These lane reductions are necessary as Google Fiber crews work throughout the city.
Beginning May 27, 151st Street from Lindenwood Drive to Stagecoach Drive will be reduced to one lane in each direction. These lane closures are expected until early July, weather permitting. A flood control project in the vicinity calls for replacement of culverts under 151st Street and 153rd Terrace.
The City of Olathe will open its pool season Saturday, May 24 at 12:30 p.m. Black Bob Bay, Frontier Trail and Oregon Trail will operate daily from 12:30 - 8:00 p.m. Mill Creek Pool is open Monday – Friday from 12:30 – 5:00 p.m. and 12:30 – 7:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday.
