Work on College Boulevard, as part of the Johnson County Gateway Project, was delayed last week. Construction is anticipated to begin between June 9 and June 20. Initial work will include fence relocation, clearing topsoil, grading and work on the north side of College Boulevard.
Beginning Tuesday, June 10, KDOT will begin traffic signal work at the US-169 (K-7) and 159th Street intersection, reducing southbound traffic to one lane and closing 159th Street from US-169 to Cherry Street. 159th Street will remain closed until improvements on the west side of the intersection are complete. Message boards and detours are provided.
Woodland Road (from Santa Fe to Poplar) will be closed Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13 for demolition of the Salvation Army building. Detours will be provided.
The Olathe Parks & Recreation Foundation announces the inaugural Walk-n-Roll, a family fun run and walk on Thursday, July 3. Walk-n-Roll will be held in conjunction with Celebrate Olathe, the grand opening celebration of the Olathe Community Center at Stagecoach Park.
The City of Olathe FREE Summer Concert Series brings the second show of the season to Frontier Park on Friday, June 13. This week Carolyn Wonderland opens the show at 7:00 p.m. with headliner Mark May immediately following.

Construction on the 127th Street Improvement project is on schedule and projected to be substantially complete in August 2014, weather permitting. Beginning the week of June 2, 127th Street will be closed from Hallet to Gallery. The street will also remain closed from Gallery to Pflumm.
