The City of Olathe now offers the convenience of viewing your City Utility bill on-line. You will need your account number and last name or business name as it appears on your bill.

City utility bills are due twenty-one (21) days from the date they are rendered. Any payment due that has not been received in our office on or before the twenty first day after the bill is rendered will be charged a penalty of five percent (5%) of the total current charges less any payments and credits.
If your water service has been disconnected or is scheduled to be disconnected for non-payment, or you need to make payment arrangements please contact our Customer Service Division at 913-971-9311.
To provide the best possible customer service the City now offers six (6) options for bill payment allowing our customers to choose the option that best suits their needs: Paying by Direct Debit, Paying On-Line, Paying by Mail, Paying in Person, Collection Drop-Off Sites and our Night Depository.
Please watch for our new option, Paying by Phone, for bill payment that will be coming soon. We are excited about the new changes coming and we will be notifying our customers as soon as these features become available.
Paying by Direct Debit Return to top
The direct debit service is a free service that conveniently pays your monthly service charges automatically by charging it to your checking or savings account. Direct debit service is the most convenient, dependable, least expensive way to pay your monthly service charges. You save time by not writing a check and mailing your payment. You save money on postage and checks. You no longer have to worry about your payment being lost or not being able to pay while you are out of town on business or vacation and it's free. To sign up for Direct Debit service simply print out the Direct Debit Form, fill it out, and return it and a voided check when you pay your next billing. It will take approximately six weeks to set up your direct debit. From then on, you'll never have to write us another check. Your city utility billing will be paid automatically from your banking account.

The City of Olathe now offers the convenience of paying your City utility bill by credit card or debit card over the Internet. The City of Olathe uses Official Payments Corporation to process credit card payments. The payment is processed through the Official Payments Corporation's payment center. A convenience fee will be charged and paid to Official Payments Corporation for this service.
There is also a maximum payment that can be made for each convenience fee. If your total amount due exceeds the maximum payment, multiple online transactions may be necessary to pay the full balance.

Payments made through Official Payments Corporation may take up to two business days to be posted to your account.
Payments for returned checks and deposits cannot be made online.
If your water service has been disconnected or is scheduled to be disconnected for non-payment, you must contact our Customer Service Division at 913-971-9311 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the confirmation number you receive from Official Payments Corporation to have the service restored.

Each year twelve (12) self addressed return envelopes are mailed to our customers. Mail the stub from the lower portion of your bill along with a check or money order in the envelopes provided. Please write your account number on your check or money order and allow six days for mail delivery. Bills are considered paid on the day they are received in our office and processed, not the day they are mailed. Payments should be mailed to:

A Customer Service Representative is available to accept your payments at the Olathe Municipal Service Center located at 1385 S. Robinson Dr. Our hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays.

Customers can drop off their payments at the drop box located behind Olathe City Hall at 100 E Santa Fe. Payments are picked up once each business day by 8:00 a.m. Payments can also be made at First National Bank of Olathe, Hillcrest Bank and Bank of Blue Valley branches in Olathe. Please allow two days for processing.
