Project Scope:
Improvements include wider pedestrian sidewalks, landscaping, medians, intersection bulbouts and enhanced crosswalks using special pavement/materials, enhanced street lighting, new traffic signals, parks areas at Chestnut Street and street furniture in key locations. Also included in the project will be grade modifications at the BNSF West Tracks and replacement of bricks and streetlights along Cherry and side streets in the downtown area.

Current Project Status:
The City has signed an agreement with O'Donnell and Sons construction to complete the Santa Fe Streetscape project as a design build. This project is currently under construction with an estimated completion date of June 1, 2013.

Crews are currently working on installing streetlights and traffic signals.  The next steps will include installation of remaining sidewalk and ADA ramps, final brick work and landscaping, a final lift of asphalt and pavement markings.  The final step in the project will be the completion of the park areas.
