• Coordinates the annual budget process, including the capital improvement plan
• Prepares the state budget forms for certification by the State of Kansas
• Prepares the annual operating budget document

• Monitors and tracks various revenue sources, such as City sales tax, parks sales tax, transient guest tax, property tax, and all other taxes and fees
• Provides budget information to user departments and the City Council
• Monitors use of contingency funds
• Certifies and tracks special assessments for Benefit Districts
• Oversee the next year's Budget Planning Process

• Monitors economic trends that may influence budget decisions
• Monitors revenue and expenditure variances during the budget year
• Work with Departments to develop Department Business Plans
