Founded in 2003 by law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics and caring community members, the Johnson County Public Safety Toy and Food Drive celebrates its 10th year of helping Johnson County families in need during the Christmas holiday season.
To meet the demands of this year’s families in need, firefighters, paramedics, police officers and community volunteers will collect donations at four area Wal-Mart locations on November 23 and 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:
Monica - a former parent in need - said, “Thank you so much; you and everyone who has helped really have done a wonderful job not just with my family, but with all the other families like mine...”
Last year, the Drive helped nearly 160 families. Request for assistance applications are available at FoodAndToyDrive.org. Call 866-591-8477, in English or Spanish, for more information.
