Olathe Regular City Council Meeting Canceled: Special Call Meeting for Time-Sensitive Issue on Consent Agenda

Tonight’s regular session Olathe City Council meeting has been canceled due to weather.   The City Council will hold a special session meeting at 5:00 p.m. to consider the consent portion of the agenda only.  Consent agenda items are considered routine.  However, item CA-H includes the issuance of temporary note bonds for the planned hotel conference center.  Because of the nature of the temporary note issuance, it is necessary for the Council to address the issue before 10:00 a.m.  February 5.  The temporary note sale and bid opening is planned this afternoon, and seven companies have submitted bids.

The consent agenda, including item CA-H, is available on the City’s website, OlatheKS.org, with additional background information on each item.

The special session will be comprised of a conference call among Council Members bridged into city hall.  The audio meeting will be broadcast live in the Olathe City Council Chamber and on OlatheKS.org.  Consent agenda items are the only items being considered by the Council.
