The construction will include the following: the addition of 90 parking stalls to the soccer complex along with a second entrance and roadway on the east side of the property. The softball complex will have the addition of 82 stalls to the north and 65 stalls to the south of the existing lot. Construction is expected to last through August 2014. The complex will still be open, but patrons are asked to use caution during this construction period.
TENNIS COURT LIGHTS REPLACEMENTS
Tennis court lights will be replaced at Two Trails Park and Mill Creek Park. Capital Electric was awarded the contract to install new Musco Lights at both tennis court facilities. The courts will be closed during this construction. Once completed at Two Trails the contractor will move to Mill Creek and complete that installation. It is anticipated that the work will take 7-10 working days to complete at each site. All work should be completed by the middle of Sept.
The existing playground at Prairie Center Park will be removed and replaced with a new playground in the fall of 2014. There will also be a new playground installed on the northern section of the site just south of the baseball field complex and west of the parking lot. Both playgrounds are expected to be completed in 2014.
A generous donation by an Olathe family, asked that their donation be used to expand the play ground at Brougham Park. This playground addition will occur in the fall of 2014.
